To Serpentine Horse and Pony Club website. The club was established approximately 40 years ago and is affiliated with the Pony Club Association of Western Australia. We belong to the West Coastal Zone- other clubs in this zone are Pinjarra, Murray, Baldivis, Wandi, Log Fence and Peel.
The club is situated on Serpentine Reserve, Karnup Road, Serpentine in a picturesque setting at the base of the foothills.
Rallies are held from February to November, providing horsemanship instruction for riding members. Club members annually compete in teams and as individuals in PCAWA State Eventing, Dressage and Showjumping. Major club events include Two Day Event Series, Dressage Series, including Jill Stanton Memorial Dressage Day, Showjumping days, Showhorse event, Cross Country Training Day and several Closed events for members.
Serpentine Horse and Pony Club Aims and Objectives
- To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sports connected with horses and riding
- To provide instruction in riding and horsemanship and to instill in members the proper care of their animals and gear.
- To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship and loyalty thereby cultivating strength of character and self discipline
- To hold horse and pony sports for young people
- To conduct competitions in one or more f the EA or FEI disciplines
